Today’s lady rock star is speaker, author, award-winning journalist, successful business owner and creator of the #1 digital platform for career women, Little PINK Book (LPB), Cynthia Good. I receive the daily newsletter from LPB and read it religiously with my morning coffee or tea. I began enJOYing it so much, that I started to research Cynthia and found her to be authentically inspiring in her quest to bring this resource to ladies worldwide.
Cynthia has grown LPB into a national phenomenon – inspiring businesswomen everywhere to achieve a beautiful career, a beautiful life and have courage to do what they love. LPB’s daily e-note offers success secrets, Top Women Profiles and Minute Mentoring videos to ambitions women globally.
Cynthia has been a handpicked speaker at company events and conferences like Ford Motor Company, The Coca-Cola Company, Spark & Hustle, Georgia Tech, McKesson, Turknett, Deloitte, Hilton Worldwide, Women in the Boardroom and Andrews Kurth.
Prior to Little PINK Book, Cynthia launched two women’s business magazines, PINK and Atlanta Woman. Both received the Magazine Association of the Southeast’s highest award, the Grand GAMMA. PINK has won numerous top national industry awards for editorial and design. Good created the “Good For Parents” TV program and has written six books, including Vaccinating Your Child, winner of the Georgia Author of the Year Award. Good began her career as a TV news reporter and anchor for stations across the country.
I had the pleasure of finally connecting with Cynthia one on one a few weeks ago, her as one of my SHEroes:
The CEO Pundit™: What inspires you?
Cynthia: I, too, love the water –I’ve frequently visited Mexico my entire life and there are places so spiritual and easy to get centered. We also have a very serene property in Atlanta.
The CEO Pundit™: Who inspires you?
Cynthia: Wow, a million women come to mind, but I would have to say every woman who followed her heart & had the courage to do what she really loves. I think of Terri Cooper, National Leader R&D Life Sciences Practice at Deloitte Consulting, fighting for advancement of women and teaching women that you can actually have a life! Also, Rilla Delorier, CMO & highest ranking woman at SunTrust Bank; she’s very authentic, very athletic, and one of the best thought leaders of our time.
My children are a huge inspiration and are smarter than all of us! Definitely, my husband, author of The Story of Purpose and one of the best thought leaders of our time.
The CEO Pundit™: What is your legacy?
Cynthia: I’ve been part of history in a sense of the whole women’s movement. Only 42 out of 1000 CEO’s are women. Women are still earning .57 cents to .87 on the dollar–pay is still an issue. Hopefully, my legacy is, first & foremost, having a happy family & marriage; being blessed to be married to my soulmate, great kids who are going to do great things for the world. I’ve had the fortune of sharing stories of women who did it…not just about getting in the big job, but having the courage to do what she loves.
And for that legacy, we ♥ you Cynthia…cheers!
