Let’s get real; in a world of overly sensationalized media, it doesn’t take much to be on television or even become a published author. Even serious journalism and mastering the art of acting has been replaced with opinion writing and reality shows. One is no longer required to have polished talent or intellectual capacity to become famous, and “stars” are created daily. Just this past weekend, I witnessed yet another sad example of how society has deteriorated to the new trend of creating nonsense from what should be a civil call to global action, all in an effort to achieve ratings and gain social media notoriety for all of the wrong reasons.
Unfortunately, none of this behavior will equate to longevity or positive legacy, and there is a real loss in the appreciation for being unique and actually discovering, cultivating and perfecting your true craft.
